I feel this on so many levels! I reminded myself toward the end of my last chapter in journalism that I was not THAT important. I was not a trauma surgeon. No lives would be lost. People would figure it out. It might take them longer than consulting me, but they would figure it out - and no doubt learn a thing or two, including the confidence that they had it in them to do what needed doing. It’s a very tough lesson to teach oneself, especially, I think for people who really care about doing a good job and what others think of them. I’m still a student in this!
